[ Leo groans, dropping his hands. ]

Right now?

[ Whatever happened to the bro code, PIpes? ]

[ Natalie freezes in place, turning to see Piper covering her face on the other end. She shoots Leo a look. ]

Sorry. I - we'll be there soon.

[ Damn it, she should have been more responsible. Piper wipes the message away and Natalie purses her lips, reaching for her shirt. But only after she gives Leo a kiss of consolation. ]

[ Leo reluctantly settles for the kiss, but it doesn't make up for much. Frustrated at having to leave so soon, he steps away from the table with a roll of his eyes. ]

They can't wait one hour?

[ He shakes his head, not even noticing that he's steaming a little. ]

[ Her lip curls in annoyance as she tries to fix her hair, separating and twirling a few curls in the front so it doesn't look as if she's been completely disheveled. ]

It better be short.

[ This hasn't really happened to her, being cut off suddenly, so to speak. She pushes off the worktable. ]

[ Snort. ]

We had a few tiny little problems on the quest - that's why we got back late. If this meeting doesn't drag on like a history class, I'll be surprised.

[ And maybe he won't burn down the Big House. ]

[ Natalie claps a hand on his shoulder as if stamping out a fire, her eyebrows raised. ]

Maybe the tension will make things exciting or something.

[ Isn't that what women's magazine said? Then again, most of that is trash. The problem here is that for the next few hours, Natalie will not stop thinking about sex. ]

[ He gives her an incredulous look. ]

Oh, yeah! Totally exciting. If by exciting you mean the longest, most torturous hours of my life.

[ Siiiiigh. Better get this over with - the sooner, the better. ]

[ Natalie straightens her skirt so the pockets are set correctly and she rolls up the sleeves of her shirt. ]

It -- will probably be that bad, but you can hold my hand under the ping pong table if that makes you feel better.

[ That actually gets a laugh out of him as he heads for the door. ]

Hold your hand under the table? What, are we in kindergarten now?

[ Not that he'd mind, of course, but he grins teasingly. ]

[ She gives him a Look. ]

Well, you don't have to hold my hand if you don't want, it was just an offer.

[ Natalie tacks an exaggerated sigh onto the end of that sentence as she trudges her way towards the door. ] I guess we should go now.

[commandertoolbelt]

No, I want! [ He protests, deliberately bumping her shoulder on the way out and taking that chance to grab her hand. ]

So how much do you think Percy's going to bother us about this?

[ He is not looking forward to finding out. ]

[clearasil]

[ Natalie bursts out laughing. ]

I wanna see how long he lasts without making a comment. Then I can hex him or something.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ Laughs. ]

I give him a minute.

[clearasil]

[ A smirk forms. ] It'll take me less to get back at him for the teasing

[ Please. Like he and Annabeth haven't had close calls. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

You're actually making me look forward to this meeting.

[clearasil]

Don't get too excited.

[ A beat ]

Seriously, don't, you'll burn the house down.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ Rolls his eyes. ]

I'm not gonna burn the house down.

[clearasil]

I'm gutted, Leo - [ Natalie murmurs, watching the Big House come into view. ] - that the thought of me shirtless doesn't have you, like, dying from, you know, frustration.

[ She gives his hand a tug. ]

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He rolls his head back with a groan. He knows she knows exactly how he feels about that. ]

Did I say I was looking forward to this? I take it back.

[clearasil]

That's what I thought.

[ When they eventually enter the meeting, hand in hand, Natalie at least has the decency to look sheepish and avoid everyone's gaze, simply shuffling to a seat with Leo in tow. ]

Uh. Hecate cabin, present.

[commandertoolbelt]

Now we can really get this party started.

[ He uses dumb comments like this to cover up his irritation a lot. Piper gives him a sidelong glance, but he avoids her gaze. They are definitely not talking about that IM. Ever. Any acknowledgement that it even happened should be banished to the deepest parts of Tartarus. ]

[ On Natalie's side, Reyna and Annabeth look less than pleased, though there's a hint of amusement in the way Annabeth gives them both a side glance. She lowers her head and tries to pay attention to the meeting, lifting her free hand only to levitate the bowl of popcorn towards her.

Under the table, she holds Leo's hand like promised, tapping her thumb against his. 'H i L e o.' ]

[ And of course, the meeting is off to the boring start Leo expected. He's so glad he taught Natalie how to use Morse code. Trying to suppress a smile (and failing), he taps back The countdown begins, and flicks his eyes over to Percy. Jackson's looking at them with a knowing grin, and Leo can tell he's dying to say something. ]

[ Natalie lifts her eyebrows as if to challenge Percy from afar, her jaw set. She replies, 'He's literally about to burst.' It's good to keep her hand active otherwise she might burst herself for various other reasons. ]

[ Leo watches him with an amused grin. Wait for it... The dam's going to break any second now, he's sure of it. ]
