Natalie had really gone all out for this thing, hadn't she? Leo, for his part, had only been involved enough to put together the mechanical birds she'd asked for. How the wedding and reception looked didn't matter to him a bit - all he wanted was her, and he had her.

Though that wasn't to say he didn't appreciate all the work she'd done. Everything looked amazing, and it all had the steampunk vibe Leo and his siblings were known for, but with just enough touches of magic to suit herself, too. All in all, it was the best wedding he could have hoped for, and the only thing that could make it better would be if he could convince Natalie to have a dance with him, after all. She'd resisted so far, given him crap when he's tried to teach her, but maybe now that the day is here...

But even that, he could do without if he had to. They're here, surrounded by friends and family (and that was still a strange thought to Leo, especially now that Dan was legally his father-in-law), and they're together and this time, it's permanent. Even their daughter, Josephine, was here, being watched by Piper or Dany or Enjolras or Dan in turns. It was all he needed, he thought, pulling his new bride close to nab another kiss. A perfect day for a perfect woman, and Leo was beyond elated to show how much he loved her for all the world to see.

"You better not, papi," Nat threatens playfully as the little girl flings herself over her shoulder to look at everyone behind them. Balancing her in one arm, Natalie rests her free hand on Leo's shoulder, stealing a second kiss for herself.

"Gods, we are so gross right now," she laughs, ever self aware.

"I won't. It's the bride's day to shine, not the groom's. And you do." He holds out a hand to steady Jo as she flops on Nat's shoulder, muttering a promise to take her flying another day if she wants it that badly, as long as she behaves today.

"We're newlyweds," Leo counters, grinning. "We're allowed to be gross."

"I guess after all those years of holding back on the PDA, I owe it to you and myself for Obnoxious Displays tonight, huh," Natalie muses, pressing her cheek against Jo's head, now buried in her neck.

"I have no idea what she's doing," she continues as the little girl tries to wriggle her way out of her arms. "Hey, hey, come on now, I thought we were dancing."

"You definitely owe me," Leo confirms with a grin.

"And I think she's done dancing. Maybe she wants your dad again? Or her little dragon... That what you want, Jo?" he asks, attacking her with a few gentle tickles. "Maybe you won't be a dancer after all."

"Maybe both. She loves old gramps, huh," Natalie laughs again, slipping her free hand into Leo's as she leads them both away from the dance floor.

"Gramps makes funny voices when he thinks no one's looking," she mumbles into Jo's hair. "And mom and dad can have some private time."

"Dunno what he's so shy about," Leo says with a shrug. "She's a kid; no one's going to care that he does it. I do it, and no one says anything."

Of course, he's Leo, and everyone has come to expect a special sort of crazy from him. Making funny voices at his daughter is perfectly acceptable.

"I thought we had to spend some more time around everyone before we got to private time?" he asks with a raised eyebrow, though he's hardly against the idea. He's still intrigued by everything she's said earlier, so actually getting to that would be a great way to end the night.

"Gods, not yet, Leo. I just wanted to make out with you on the balcony a little bit," Natalie insists, rolling her eyes. It's beautiful outside and the stars are clear, nary a cloud in the sky.

"Hey, dad, I brought you a thing," she says suddenly, careully setting the kid in his his lap. Natalie herself gives him a rare peck on the cheek, full of the warmth she never had when she was younger. "She wants to hear you talk like Kermit."

He shrugs helplessly. "Hey, you said it, not me. But I guess I could settle for a bit of making out," he says, keeping his voice low as they approach her father.

"You talk like Kermit?" Leo asks Dan, eyebrows shooting up in amusement. "Now this, I've gotta see. That's one of the few I haven't gotten down yet."

"Natalie," Dan sighs, obviously embarrassed. Attempting to hide weirdness under a facade of strict, boringness seems to be a family trait. Josephine settles in his lap, tugging at his tie. "Hi-ho, Kermit The Frog here," he says to her without missing a beat, waving a hand.

Natalie seems to get a kick out of it more than her daughter does, throwing her head back and laughing. It's nice to feel so easygoing around her dad, but most of all, she loves that she can officially include Leo as part of her family.

"Are you happy now?"

"That's all I needed," she tells him plainly.

Leo laughs right along with her. "Oh, man. That's perfect. No wonder she loves it. The only thing you're missing is the green."

And Jo loves it, so he's just glad she gets to have at least one grandparent around to play with. His mother would have loved her, he's sure, but Dan is definitely loving enough for her absence, something that Leo will always be grateful for. For all the problems he knows Natalie had with her family during their youth, he's glad to be a part of it now.

"I don't know," Dan says seriously, "It's not easy being green."

Natalie's eyerolling can be seen a mile away. Dad jokes. She links her arm through Leo's and starts pulling him away. "I'll see you both later, okay?" is all she says with a little wave of her hand, though Josephine is pretty occupied at the moment.

He laughs again, partly from Dan's tone and from Natalie's reaction. Get used to it; soon enough, he'll be making plenty of his own dad jokes, when Jo is old enough to understand them. He gives Dan a wave over his shoulder, letting his new bride lead him away with a grin.

Natalie pushes the doors to the balcony open, welcoming the warm summer breeze. Summer seemed to be an excellent time to have a wedding, between her birthday and his but with a good span of time away from Josephine's birthday. Standing at the edge, she lets the door close behind them and peers down over the city with a soft smile on her lips.

"Today's been perfect," she sighs.

He stands beside her with a tender smile of his own, though Leo's eyes are on Natalie instead of the city below, only for her. She looks as beautiful as ever, and now that he officially gets to call her his wife, somehow everything about her shines twice as brightly as before.

"Good, he says, intertwining their fingers and giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "This is supposed to be one of the best days of our lives, isn't it?"

Natalie squeezes his fingers, nothing but love in her eyes when she finally turns her gaze onto him. Her brown eyes twinkle like the stars above and she pulls him closer to press their lips together.

"Absolutely. Something we will never forget," she agrees, "And I never will, even if it lacks the insanity of the early years of, well, us." She bursts out laughing at the memories that do come to mind.

"If you want intense, I can give you intense." He grins wickedly as he says it, eyes twinkling with mischief. "Maybe some flames, so everyone knows exactly how hot we are?"

"You save that intensity for me later, okay?" she says, bemused, leaning to kiss his shoulder.

"I already know that you're hot as hell, in or out of that tux." Her eyebrows waggle.

"There'll be plenty later, don't worry about that," Leo says with a laugh. "Though this thing does make me look good, doesn't it?" He pulls his sleeves down, making a show of ensuring that every part of his appearance today is perfect. "Maybe I should wear suits more often. What do you think?"

As if that would fly with the work he does. It's fun to joke, anyway.

"I wouldn't complain..."

She turns to him, wrapping her arms around his neck, nose to nose. "But I like you normally, suspenders and toolbelt and all." There's a little twitch of her lips. "If you were shirtless, though..."

Natalie trails off innocently, whistling.

There's a slow grin spreading over his lips as she speaks, and when she does, his eyebrows hop suggestively. "Shirtless. I could possibly make that happen. But only for you - no one else."

"Good."

Her eyebrows waggle in return. "Sweaty and covered in dirt." Which she never thought would be a major turn on for her, but on Leo, she's into it. Natalie curls her hand around the back of his head and pulls him in for a kiss.

"And you always thought it was weird that I like you a little dirty," he says with a quiet laugh. His arms snake around her waist to where they'd been before, and he returns the kiss like a man who'd just glimpsed water after a trek through the desert.

"I've gotten used to the idea, though it clearly doesn't tickle me as much as it does you," Natalie teases, breathless from that kiss he just gave her. "A little kinky, but I guess that's nothing new, huh." Her eyebrows waggle playfully.

"It's hot," Leo says plainly, though he knows he doesn't have to explain himself to her. His eyes sparkle. "And you never had any objections about how kinky we got. Here I was, thinking you liked that about me, that it kept things interesting..."

"Well...." Natalie sighs, trailing off, teasing as always.

"I just like doing things for you, things that make you happy and really happy," she admits earnestly.
