[ Okay, so downtown Manhattan isn't exactly the closest place to Long Island Sound. That would be fine if Leo could take the dragon, but Chiron wouldn't allow it. A car was good enough, he reasoned. Apparently the centaur is not so well acquainted with a certain affliction known as motion sickness. Although, who would expect the kid who flies a dragon without a problem to have issues with a freaking car, anyway? Even to Leo, it's weird.

[If there is one good thing about the Mist, it's that sometimes the disguises things take to the mortal eye are helpful. Unfortunately, no amount of dressing as a socialite would convince Chiron that the mortals would see Drogon as one of those dogs that's small enough to carry in a purse. If he wasn't allowing Leo to fly them in on his giant metal dragon, he certainly wasn't allowing Dany to bring her real dragon along.

[ It's been a while since he came to New York, but that doesn't mean he's familiar with Manhattan. Bunker 9 doesn't have any maps or schedules for public transit lying around.
A hotel's sounding good, though, and he's certainly not liking the idea of wandering city streets at night. Been there - wasn't fun then, wouldn't be fun now. If it were just him, he'd deal with it, but Dany shouldn't have to. ]
If they're done for the night, we'll find somewhere to stay.
I suppose not, though I'm not even sure where the terminal might be.
[She's only been to manhattan with the camp a few times, and one of those times was spent fighting against the forces of Kronos, so she doesn't exactly know her way around .]
Perhaps it would be best to petition to Lady Hestia. I doubt a hotel would provide a room to people our age without...interference.
