the great prophecy has been fulfilled. leo has played his part happily, incinerating the earth mother, gaea, and sacrificing his own life to ensure that she will never rise to threaten the gods or humanity again. vengeance for esperanza valdez achieved, it is some time before leo and festus can make their way back, calypso in tow, but return they do, and the time comes to move on from there. what comes after the prophecy has never really been a huge concern for leo - he always expected to die for real, with no cheat codes to bring him back a second time - but he hasn't forgotten a conversation held on the roof what feels like ages ago.
his first goal in coming back was always going to be finding tsuyukusa, anyway. he helped leo figure out the prophecy. it's only fair that leo helps him figure out things back home, too. with festus folded up into suitcase mode to fit on the world train, they're off to higan.
