"You're somewhere between hide from him forever and wanting him to wrap his arms around you, pin you to the wall, and kiss you for a few hours. You should talk to him about how you feel. Life is short, especially in Beacon Hills." Maya shivered at the all too true comment, but also another thing, "and stop thinking about making out with Scott. I can feel you thinking about it this close."
When they got to the bouncer Maya glanced over the edge of her glasses and bit her lip, "Can we, like... just go in? We'd appreciate it." Maya giggled with a little more power, as she hung loosely off Kira suggesting they might, in fact, be a couple. But not saying it outright.
He was thinking something dirty, but it didn't feel like it was about them... that he had someone else in mind. That was nice, a change of pace at least. He opened the ropes for them and just let the girls through to the annoyed complaints from some of the people, others were close enough that Maya's stunt with her powers snared them too.
Maya looked a little drunk just from walking into the rave. There was enough energy for her that it was a little intoxicating just being in the room with it. Some people on the dance floor were discretely doing scandalous things, and many others wanted to be. "Drinks first or dancing first?"
"You're the one that brought it up," Kira retorted, feeling a tiny bit distressed about the whole thing. Scott was Maya's entire reasoning for why she should even come to this thing; it's not her fault she'd started thinking that way after Maya mentioned how he felt about her (supposedly).
...God, she really hoped it was more than just "supposedly".
Trying to shake the thought, she kept on smiling for the bouncer, and called a vapid-sounding "Thanks!" over her shoulder when they were allowed in. Kira's eyes wandered over the crowd anxiously, wondering if anyone else they knew was out there. Stiles was supposed to be studying, but maybe Lydia? She lived for the party scene.
"Drinking," she decided, still a little hesitant. If they were going to dance, she needed a little help loosening up first. One look at Maya, however, and she wasn't so sure. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Just getting used to all the people. Alcohol plus teens does not lead to quiet studygroup thoughts." Maya would probably take her drink slow this time, probably meaning something that didn't taste quite as sweet as her usual tastes. This was not a jello shots kind of night because people really wanted to get laid at parties like this.
The only advantage the alcohol gave her was it'd make her less... feathery, under her outfit. She was still getting used to being around Kira and needed to relax in a less drowning in lusty emotions way. Maya smiled at the man working the bar set up for the event, "Scotch and Soda for me, and whatever she's having."
Maya scanned the bar for the right sort of person to end up footing the bill for their drinks. Her eyes stopped on a man. 30-something, wedding band mark, with a girl who would never give him the time of day if they weren't forced into a connection. Maya felt that it was a boss-secretary thing. Maya hummed quietly as she got up close, "You'll pay for our drinks, right?"
“A margarita,” Kira told him, sticking to the classics when she wasn’t sure what else to do. One of them should keep their head, and if Maya was going for scotch, it would have to be her instead. It was kind of amazing, though, watch the other girl work her siren magic on that guy. Kira had been wondering how they were supposed to pay for this. She probably should have guessed that would be it.
Once their drinks were on the bar, Kira took a careful sip of her margarita and sidled back up next to Maya, eyes scanning the crowd. So far, no one looked familiar.
“So, what now?” she asked hesitantly. Should they go dance, or finish their drinks first?

And he put a 20 on the bar, just like that.
