[ His eyes instantly go back to the snow dragon before him when Elsa moves, keeping still as he watches. He's not expecting it to touch his snout again, and he ends up shaking his head again, taking a step back before letting out a small, playful growl. ]
[ That's it. Control. Control. She can keep the dragon moving without unleashing the full beast upon everyone. The snow dragon starts circling Toothless instead, mimicking his movements from before. ] She just wants a friend, [ Elsa says softly, though she isn't sure if he can even understand her. ]
[ He remains in place this time, watching the other dragon and occasionally glancing at its handler. There are no strings, or sticks, like he's seen the riders on Berk use when mimicking their dragons. Something different is going on here. Turning, Toothless slowly approaches Elsa with his head tilted curiously, looking for an explanation. ]
[ This is supposed to be a feared creature, but here, Elsa has to laugh quietly, letting her own dragon still before she opens her bare palm. Immediately, the air begins to solidity and oversized snowflakes appear above her hand, dancing over to Toothless to boop him on the nose and melt away. ]
[ "Magic" is not a word in his vocabulary. But as soon as the snow dragon is still and Elsa produces a large snowflake in her hand, she has his full attention. His eyes follow it until it touches his nose and melts, and in an instant he's on his feet again and walking toward her. Snow is something brought by the clouds. He's never met a human that can create it. It's intriguing, to see a human with that power. She's shown him something, so he should, too. It's only fair. He does so by finding a patch of ground and puffing out a small purple flame, melting the snow in a perfect circle. It's not snow, but that is how he creates. ]
[ Elsa presses her hands together, resting her chin against them as she watches him in wonder. She is more than happy to put her powers on display nowadays, now that she has more or less achieved acceptance from her people. ]
I've never seen a purple flame before! [ She gasps, tentatively approaching the display from her new friend. ]
[ He sits back, eyes bright with fascination. It isn't often that he uses his plasma blasts for something like this, or... at all, really, outside of battle. And most people that have seen it are afraid, not curious. It will burn if she dares to touch it, but for now the little flame dances on the ground, already starting to fade away. ]
[ Elsa knows better than to touch, and she can feel the heat close to her fingers, though, but she keeps a safe enough distance. She curls her eager hands, rubbing her thumb and index fingers together as if to replicate the warmth when it does fade.
Finally, her eyes settle on the dragon again, bowing her head. ] A pleasure to meet you.
[ He watches her carefully, taking note of what she's doing. A greeting? He can do that. Mimicking her movements, he keeps his eyes on her, but ducks his head a little. An odd human thing, he supposes, but easy enough. ]

Not a perfect explanation, I know. It's magic.
